A rare set of 14 antique French cobalt blue glass apothecary bottles, each with its original white enamel label bordered in gilt and finished with metal caps. Labels include Teint. de Cannelle, Teint. de Condur, Teint. de Jalap Comp., Teint. d’Arnica, Teint. de Gentiane, Teint. de Safran, Teint. de Badiane, Teint. de Jaborandi, Teint. Marr: d’Inde, Teint. Hamamelis, Teint. Ec: Orangé Am., Gom: Adrag., Eau de Cologne, Benzine, Eau-de-Vie Camphrée. These bottles date to the late 19th century and were once used in a French pharmacy. Some wear to the caps and gilding consistent with age, one bottle missing from the original full set of 15. A striking collector’s group with vivid blue color and historical character.
