Roger Mourre Attributed Dieulefit Tea Set – Vintage Ochre Glazed Pottery
This rare 6-piece tea set is attributed to Roger Mourre, an influential 20th-century potter from Dieulefit in Provence. Known for his earthy ochre glazes and expressive forms, Mourre’s work is celebrated among collectors of mid-century French ceramics.
The set includes a squat teapot with lid, two small pitchers, a sugar pot with saucer, and two creamers. Each piece is hand-thrown with a glossy ochre glaze and dark brown accents, true to the rustic aesthetic of Mourre’s workshop. The base clay is characteristic of the Dieulefit region, and at least one piece bears an impressed stamp.
📌 Damage Note: One pitcher shows a visible crack where the handle meets the body (see close-up). It remains stable and suitable for display, but care should be taken if used.
